The Jay Morningstar case ended on January 6, 2006.  Trooper Morningstar was acquitted on all charges and is back on duty.

 

Trooper Jay Morningstar, with the help of his attorney Richard Convertino, has filed a malicious prosecution and defamation law suit against the City of Detroit, District Attorney Kym Worthy, Jeannette White-Williams, the aunt of the deceased, and several Detroit Police Officers involved in the investigation.
